BIG MATCH STATS
Part three of the trilogy between Arsenal and Liverpool inside a week. The first two matches at the Emirates Stadium resulted in 1-1 draws.
The goals in the Champions League quarter-final first leg last Wednesday came within three minutes of each other midway through the first half; Emmanuel Adebayor scored for Arsenal, Dirk Kuyt equalised for Liverpool.
Liverpool opened the scoring in the league game on Saturday, through Peter Crouch three minutes before half time. Nicklas Bendtner secured a point nine minutes after the break.
Saturday's point leaves Arsenal in third place in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Manchester United. Liverpool are still fourth, holding a three-point lead over fifth placed Everton.
All three meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal this season have been 1-1 draws.
They played each other four times last season. The league fixtures were both emphatic home wins, while Arsenal knocked out Liverpool from the FA Cup (1-3) and Carling Cup (3-6), both at Anfield.
Arsene Wenger leads Rafa Benitez in the head-to-head standings between their current clubs; Arsenal have won five, Liverpool three, with three draws.


European Head-to-heads
The only previous meeting in European competition between these clubs came last week.
Liverpool have lost only one of their six previous home matches against English clubs in a European competition. They went down 0-1 to Leeds in the semi-final of the 1970-71 Fairs Cup.
Arsenal are yet to win against English opposition in European competition home and away.

European history
Liverpool have won the Champions Cup/Champions League five times (1977, 1978, 1981, 1984 and 2005) and were runners-up to AC Milan last season and to Juventus in 1985. They've also lifted the Uefa Cup three times (1973, 1976 and 2001).
Arsenal's best European performances are their Fairs Cup win in 1970 and Cup Winners' Cup win in 1994. Their best performance in the Champions League was finishing as runners-up to Barcelona in 2006.

Current European form
Liverpool are undefeated for six matches in the Champions League, since a 2-1 reverse to Besiktas in Turkey on 24 October 2007. The Reds have won their last three Champions League home matches, and not been defeated at Anfield in this competition since 3 October 2007, when Olympique Marseille won 0-1.
Arsenal are unbeaten in four successive CL matches, recording two wins and two draws. Their last CL defeat came on 27 November 2007 at Seville (3-1).
Player and disciplinary info
Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Fabio Aurelio (Liverpool), and Gael Clichy, Denilson, Emmanuel Adebayor, Aleksandr Hleb and Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal) will be suspended if shown a yellow card.
Jose Reina and Jamie Carragher have started and completed all of Liverpool's CL matches this season; no Arsenal player has played in all nine of their CL matches in this campaign. Almunia and Clichy have spent the most time on the field, playing 630 minutes each.
Liverpool's Jermaine Pennant made three CL appearances for Arsenal in 2001-02 and 2002-03.
