ATLETICO COOL ON REDS' MAXI INTEREST

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo claims he knows nothing of Liverpool's reported interest in winger Maxi Rodriguez (pic above).
Reports in the English press on Thursday claimed the 27-year-old was a target for Rafael Benitez, but Cerezo insists his club are yet to receive any offers and have no interest in selling.
"We've still had no offer for him, but our idea is to have him with us next season," he told Spanish newspaper Marca.
"You'll have to ask them (Liverpool), but Atletico have no plans to sell Maxi."
Cerezo also commented on speculation regarding the future of coach Javier Aguirre.
Aguirre has found himself under increasing pressure following a run of just one win in their last four Primera Liga matches, although Atletico have managed to hold onto the fourth Champions League spot during that time.
The Mexican's current contract with the Rojiblancos runs out this summer, but if Atletico get into Europe then there is a clause which will earn him an extra year in the hotseat.
However, Cerezo says no decisions on his future will be made until the summer.
"We'll speak with the coach when the season ends, our stress now is fully on Getafe, our next rival on Sunday," he said.
Aguirre has been linked with the vacant Mexico coaching job after the dismissal of Hugo Sanchez last month.
