If this is not the funniest story ever, it could be deemed as rather an insulting situation for the poor chap Darren Bent. Just a few days ago, the rumour of him becoming one of the LFC squad member hit the fever stage. Today, Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has revealed that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has told him he is not interested in signing Darren Bent.

We really don't know what was transpired behind the door. We don't even know if there is anything transpired at all. As I said before, this is the kind of news that UK media are well-known for. To speculate and to make believe. At one point, The Mirror said it was a `done deal', quoting one LFC unnamed sources. Either the source was poking fun at The Mirror reporter, it was an out right crazy. Well...at least in terms of mini-anxiety it caused to both the Villa and Liverpool fans. 

While the Villa's fan scorned the talk on the selling of their current striker, the LFC's fan were upset because Bent is not the type of a striker they were hoping for. It may sound a bit arrogant but what to do? We can afford 20 million striker, so we should find an established and proven striker. We have one in Luis Suarez. We need another Suarez. A world class player. 

The rumour mills is still burning its midnight oil. I already stopped reading the names of players that were connected to the club. I do not wish to put too high of a hope. It would be devastating for me later on if the club didn't get the player mentioned. So better wait and see the development in Melwood. Do you have your own preferences? I know.
