Fernando Torres could be back in action for Liverpool as early as Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round game against Barnsley after taking part in training yesterday, although Rafael Benítez admits he might delay his return until Wednesday's Champions League tie with Internazionale.
Torres was one of four players returning from injury to take part in yesterday's session - Sami Hyypia, Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Aurelio were the others - but Benítez admitted he has not yet decided whether to risk any of the quartet against Barnsley.
"I need to consider both games but I know it's important to progress in the FA Cup, so I will try to use a strong team," he said. "Sami Hyypia is improving. He did the warm-up and could be available, but we will have to analyse the situation. Torres also did the warm-up, as well as Fabio Aurelio and Alvaro Arbeloa, and they are really close.
"Now it is about whether we will take the risk or not. For Inter, Torres will be OK. We will have to check before Barnsley."
